Appreciating Assets are delighted to offer for sale this fully-furnished, very spacious at 94.91 square metres internally, 2-bedroom apartment situated on the 3rd floor of the Royal House ski complex in Pamporovo Bulgaria, now priced extremely competitively at just 60,000 euros.

Property description

Firstly, this is a very spacious property at approximately 117 square metres of internal floor space. Secondly, on a price per square metre basis, this apartment represents exception value, approaching that of new build cost today. Thirdly, this is an extremely simple but chic property in what could easily be described as a boutique-type development nestled into the ski slopes. This is a comparatively small ski development and this apartment is located on the upper floors, thus it has the best of both worlds. In terms of the interior specification, it is simply superb; ultra-modern fitted  kitchen, fully-tiled bathroom and extremely pleasant decor, plus all rooms are good-sized. The combination of dark wooden kicthen cabinets and furniture trim including window frames, with the light and natural wall colourings, makes for a clean look and spacious ambience. This is certainly not typical of ski properties, which tend to lean towards the compact and bijou style. This apartment breaks that mold. The modern flat panel wall radiators also add to the ambience, suggesting a very cosy property and is more in keeping with western European style. Finally, the bedrooms are quite sumptuous with high specification detailing, notably the dark wooden headboards and matching cabinets/wardrobes, as well as the large windows with heavy drapes - bright during the day and sufficiently dark at night, so perfect for a restful vacation. This is an excellent all-round property, ideal for those seeking a large ski property, at the same time, it doubles nicely as a superb rental proposition.

One such activity is skiing, and if you're looking for the best place to hit the slopes, it'd be best to head to the ski resort of Pamporovo.

There are three major ski resorts in Bulgaria, of which Pamporovo is the second largest and, probably the most upmarket. It is also the most southerly and reputed to be the sunniest.

There's lots of reasons why you might consider a skiing break here. The unspoilt beauty, the traditional heritage of the region, but the primary one has to be cost. You can have a holiday here at the fraction of the cost of France, Austria or Italy.

The highest point is Snejanka at 1926m. It boasts around 200 days of sunshine per year, 120 of which are during the skiing period. Moreover, the peaks surrounding Pamporovo isolate the resort from strong winds and also prevent the snow cover of its ski runs, between 140 and 150 cm, from being blown away.

The combination of mild weather and excellent snow cover mean some of the best skiing conditions in Bulgaria from mid-December to mid-April. There are numerous ski runs of different categories, suiting all levels from beginners and early intermediates to professionals. The resort area's ski mountain, Snezhanka, offers a total length of 38km of alpine ski runs, serviced by 5 chair lifts and 13 tow lifts. There are 34 ski slopes including 'The Giant Slalom' and 'The Wall' for the most skilled, as well as 3 long-distance cross-country runs. There are good ski and snowboarding schools and a seriously good après-ski.

When you're not on the ski slopes, there’s plenty of other things to do in Pamporovo. There are indoor saunas and swimming pools. There's a bowling hall. Lots of souvenir shops and little boutiques, and depending on when you're there, Ski shows and carnivals. For culture and folklore there are excursions to the Stoikite village and the picturesque Orpheus rocks. Or tours to the Bachkovo Monastery and the Shiroka Luka nature, archaeological and folklore reserve.

All these factors, complemented by modern ski facilities, make Pamporovo a friendly, cost efficient and enjoyable ski resort.
